Maddy's Story

Maddy came to us from a family in Northern NJ who decided to place her with WIN when she wasn’t getting along well with the family’s kids. She is six years old and is a very beautiful girl. She also has pancreatitis, so was on a special diet for the rest of her life.

Maddy had some behavioral issues so we needed to find her a quiet home without small children, and where she could be the only dog. She was okay with my male Wheatens, but clearly she wanted to be top dog. Maddy loves her toys and had a special knack for ripping the stuffing out of any ones that she could.

After five weeks with us, we brought Maddy down to the shore to meet her forever family, the Reilly’s of Lavallette, NJ.  I visited Maddy about two weeks ago and she is one happy Wheaten. The Reilly’s are thrilled with their new edition and we are very happy for them and for Maddy.
