Wheatens In NeedŽ Success Stories - 1999

truman4.jpg (10456 bytes)Truman

Truman was surrendered by a young professional in New York City who just seemed truman3.jpg (20696 bytes)unable to make a connection with the big lug. Truman along with Benny and   Shandy (from Long Island) were the first dogs to partake in what is now known as the East Coast Wheaten Underground Railroad. Jocelyn and Mike Marzo collected all the willing participants at their Edison, NJ residence and loaded them into the truck for a trip down 95.  Mike and Donna Laubscher met up with the Marzos in Delaware and continued the journey to the next waypoint. The Laubschers met with Judy and Earle Kittleman to transfer the cargo and something magical happened.  Judy, who currently owns a Wheaten named Maddie immediatelytruman2.jpg (12284 bytes) fell in love with Truman.  What was supposed to be a foster arrangement became a permanent and now the Kittleman's have a new addition. Truman and Maddie are showered with toys and affection and only in a fairy tale would the ending for Truman have been any truman1.jpg (14337 bytes)sweeter. Judy, Earle, Truman, and Maddie are all happy, which is the way it should be. Congratulations to all for making this happen!
